This adapter has an inner glass tube at the bottom joint, which is a great improvement over standard vacuum adapters. This is because with a standard adapter, your gaseous product may not have all condensed yet, so vapours will be sucked out the vacuum. With this adapter, there is extra time for vapours to condense without being sucked out, resulting in higher yields.
Does not have to be used with vacuum, works fine without.
